Dakota Wolfhounds
Busy, Busy for Weeks 9-12!!

So much to do, So much to see, Plus PaddleFish season arrived!

Play, Baths and a Party forWeek 8

Baths were a huge adventure and desperately needed after rolling around playing outside!

Fancy turned 10 years Old!! She loved her speciality cake made especially for her by Bella. She, however, was NOT a fan of her birthday hat. Ash and Cara, on the other hand, were ridiculously pleased with theirs! They knew they looked amazing and regal

Week 7

This was the best Home Show purchase EVER!! Snuffle mats are loved by young and old alike!

Puppies have played
inside and outside this
week. It went from
snowing
to 50 degrees; it is just
another typical week in
North Dakota.

Ash is turning out to be quite the Father. We are truly prouder of what great parents Ash and Cara are!

Only 7 weeks old and 35 lbs of Puppy Food a week. As they get bigger, the puppy box, which we were afraid was a bit large, has shrunk considerably over the weeks.
Weeks 5 and 6
Vet Day = Car Rides + Complete Exhaustion

Everyone is healthy, around
12 lbs, and first set of Vaccines in the book!

New favorite nap spot!
The Puppies LOVE the weather! Mochi, Nessy, Eclipse, Barbie, and Galadriel are even fans when it's still on the chilly side. They are all about where the most fun is to be had, regardless of the temperature. Lilac and Maple prefer when the sun shines a bit hotter than 35°, but they very much enjoy regulating the flow of traffic through the door. Neptune and Murray are all about where the pack goes; they go. They are even figuring out the perks of going outside to do their business. We are LOVING that!
Everyone is patiently awaiting food. We are not Mom, but they think we are pretty good chefs!!

Week 3 flew by on to Week 4
First Two Weeks of Life
The temperatures dropped below zero and Cara went into labor. We spent the first week and a half in temperatures ranging from -15 to -35 below a true North Dakota Arctic Freeze!! As we start into the puppy's 2nd week we are expecting temperatures in the 40s. Ash and Cara are extremely excited to resume walks and be outside for longer than a quick minute.

Cara has been the best mom, making sure her babies are all well-fed, bathed, and cuddled. She does outweigh them by 120 odd pounds so we have had to keep a very close 24-hour watch. We have been helping her to keep puppies out of the way as she gets up and lays down. It did only took her a few times to figure out she needed to wait to get in and out of the box until we gave her the all-clear.

The puppies are now almost walking...they are a bit shaky (which is adorable!). They create a puppy swarm whenever Cara comes in.

Ash is curious and politely respects Cara's space. However, he is completely bored between Cara being occupied and the fridged temps. Leo (the cat) looked once...Cara stood up. They had a silent moment and he walked away also respecting her space. Here are some new photos of the precious moments you get to catch making the sleepless moments totally worth it!!

The first few days of Life
